Live & Dried Blood Cell Analysis in Edmonton
Gain deeper insights into your health with live and dried blood microscopy, a powerful assessment tool used in holistic care.
“With blood cell analysis, assess the shape, size, and behavior of your blood cells in real time.”
Live Blood Cell Analysis (LBCA) is a screening method where a small drop of your fresh blood is observed under a high-powered microscope. This technique allows practitioners to assess the shape, size, and behavior of your blood cells in real time. It offers a unique snapshot of your internal health and may reveal signs of nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, oxidative stress, or microbial activity.
What is Live Blood Cell Analysis?
Dried Blood Cell Analysis (DBCA), also known as oxidative stress testing, involves analyzing patterns in a dried drop of blood to detect free radical damage, toxicity, and overall immune function. The two assessments can be used together for a fuller picture.
What is Dried Blood Cell Analysis?
Live blood cell analysis begins by using a blood glucose lancing device to prick your finger to obtain a drop of blood. This drop of blood is placed on a microscope slide and magnified by 30,000 times under a high-powered compound microscope. A video monitor is linked to the microscope allowing the client and practitioner to view the sample during the analysis. During the viewing, a highly articulate image is produced. No chemical staining is utilised. Instead the light is defracted at a certain angle, allowing the blood sample to remain active for several minutes.
How Does it Work?
Even though this technique is not used for diagnostic purposes to identify a specific disease, it does allow the practitioner the ability to assess how the body is compensating to its environment, such as:
Able to see Immune system activity (viability of the white blood cells)
Condition of certain organs (liver, kidney, heart, etc.) & red blood cells
Identify parasites, crystals, yeast, or fungus overgrowth
Nutritional deficiencies (based on shape and size of the red blood cells)
Gut Permeability & Digestive health (undigested fats and proteins)
